Once Upon a Swipe is a speculative dating app experience that reimagines love in the age of algorithms. Inspired by the fairytale The Frog Prince, the project challenges today’s culture of curated attraction—where filters, swipes, and algorithmic preferences often replace emotional depth and surprise.
Grounded in behavioral research, cultural trends, and emotional design, the concept introduces features like Curated Chaos Week, Story Mode, and the Debrief Zone—designed to interrupt algorithmic habits, spark unexpected connections, and encourage meaningful reflection.
Developed in collaboration with Ipsos Strategy3, this project blends speculative design with real-world insights to explore how dating platforms could foster more human-centered, emotionally intelligent relationships.
